Mechanical Assembly Technician
Location: Durham, NC
Available Shifts: • 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM | $19.00+/hour DOE
• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | $21.50+/hour DOE
ResourceMFG is hiring Mechanical Assembly Technicians for a leading manufacturing company in Durham, NC. This is an excellent opportunity for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy hands-on work, using tools, and building high-quality products in a team-oriented environment.
As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will assemble and install mechanical and electrical components while following blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to ensure quality and production standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assemble generator components using blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
• Install and integrate mechanical and electrical subassemblies
• Perform quality inspections throughout the assembly process
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Assemble metal structures and external generator components
• Troubleshoot assembly issues and identify defects
• Read and accurately use tape measures and measuring tools
• Maintain production standards while meeting quality requirements
• Work with supervisors and team members to resolve issues and support production goals
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies
• Work overtime as needed

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous manufacturing, assembly, mechanical assembly, or industrial production experience preferred
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices
• Basic electrical knowledge and wiring experience preferred
• Experience assembling metal structures is a plus
• Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
