Material Handler – Inventory Control

Location: Durham, NC
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
Pay: $20.00/hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our Inventory team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately moving, storing, and tracking materials throughout the warehouse using an Electric Pallet Jack and Stand-Up Forklift. The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory control, material handling, and operating warehouse equipment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an Electric Pallet Jack and Stand-Up Forklift to transport materials throughout the facility
• Perform inventory putaways and ensure products are stored in designated locations
• Pick, stage, and deliver materials to support production and shipping operations
• Conduct inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records
• Assist with cycle counts, inventory audits, and stock verification activities
• Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and completeness
• Maintain organized warehouse locations and proper product labeling
• Support kitting and material replenishment activities as needed
• Follow all company safety policies and warehouse procedures
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free from hazards

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Material Handler, Inventory Associate, or Warehouse Associate preferred
• Experience operating an Electric Pallet Jack and Stand-Up Forklift required
• Basic inventory control and warehouse management experience
• Ability to use inventory tracking systems, RF scanners, and warehouse technology
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
