Job Opening: Shipping 1st shift
Description
Morning shift, 6:00am- 2:30pm and afternoon shift 2:00pm-10:30pm
Pay: $16.50-17.25/hour
- Coordinate daily shipping activities for manufactured products.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and export paperwork as required.
- Schedule carrier pickups and deliveries with transportation providers.
- Verify product quantities, packaging, and shipment accuracy before dispatch.
- Maintain inventory and shipping records within ERP or warehouse management systems.
- Communicate shipment status and resolve transportation-related issues.
- Support production schedules by ensuring timely movement of materials and finished goods.
- Monitor shipping costs and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and transportation regulations.
- Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, damages, and customer claims.
- Collaborate with warehouse personnel to optimize storage and shipping workflows.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping procedures.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Forklift certification preferred (if applicable).
