Select Staffing has a great opportunity for a electrical Assembler within a electronics manufacturing company in Simi Valley, CA.
Pay: $24.00 – $26.00

9/80 Schedule
Fulltime – possible overtime/Saturdays
Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced, diversified solder and mechanical assembly operations to build intricate, large and small assemblies to precise specification requirements.
- Build, modify and repair perform PCB assemblies that have both through hole and surface mount components. Route wires, solder to electrical components, cable tie and install connectors.
- Employees must be certified to J-STD-001 to perform solder assembly; rework and inspection of the products processed through solder operations certified in IPC.
- Work from verbal as well as documented work instructions, spec sheets, blueprints, sketches and complex assembly drawings. Must be able to work in multiple product lines/cells, with minimal familiarization or remedial training.
- Use a variety of precision measuring instruments, scales, gauging devices and test equipment to verify proper function and operation of sub-assemblies and final assemblies.
- Utilize solder equipment, hand tools, fixtures, pneumatic and power tools for the mechanical and solder assembly of components. Secures nuts, wires and cable by applying liquid adhesives.
- Perform assembly and solder operation processes with little or no supervision. Perform movement of materials in MRP system, such as work order movement and completion. Completed assemblies are subject to inspection and test.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor, lead person or lead back-up person.
- Work with Safety in mind, ensuring all safety procedures are being followed. Must notify lead or supervisor of any concerns with regards to own and others safety and security.
- Continuous improvement efforts required
- Assist in maintaining records
Qualifications:
- Familiar with conformal coating and potting process.
- Exhibit sufficient understanding of electro static discharge to properly use ESD materials while handling or performing operations on ESD sensitive components.
- Requires a high degree of skill and assembling technique, considerable experience and basic knowledge of design and mechanical assembly principles.
- The employee may be required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as the workload dictates.
- Experience in wire soldering techniques and hardware installation.
- Capable of installing subassemblies, components, chassis, and electronic components on to final systems.
- Skilled in assembling small device and wiring/soldering under microscopes.
- Wiring diagram, schematic, harness and cabling.
- Experience with reviewing drawings and schematic layouts.
- Understand engineering drawings and detailed assembly aid instructions and work with engineers.
- Familiar with various pneumatic, power assembly tools and related equipment utilized in electromechanical assembly processes, hand tools, wire cutters, strippers, crimpers, heat gun, wrenches, screwdrivers, tweezers, magnifying glasses
- Experience with connections and harness inter-connections between subassemblies
