Job Opening: EHS Safety Coordinator
Description
EHS Coordinator will be responsible for following the direction of the EHS Manager in administering the EHS Program on a floor level.
Job Duties:
- Strong organizational skills.
- Requires close collaboration with production leadership (day/night shift), as well as EHS coordinators across all shifts and all sites.
- Conduct daily shop walk throughs.
- Encourage Pro-Active Hazard Identification and Mitigation through ensuring employee participation in consistent behavior-based safety programs.
- Working with supervisors and leads to develop effective JSA’s.
- Stay abreast of existing and proposed laws, regulations, standards, and regulatory guidance (and proposed changes) to assess applicability.
- Investigate and document work-related accidents, incidents, and near misses, and ensure corrective and preventive measures are implemented.
- Act on hazards and look for mitigation methods to deal with the hazards discovered.
Job Skills requirements:
- PC proficiency with Microsoft office tools that include Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to mentor and coach others on safety guidelines.
- Minimum Requirements
- At least 2 years supervisory experience.
- Experience in leading safety meetings.
- Experience with OSHA Standards CFR 1910 for the general industry.
Schedule will be Monday – Friday. Saturdays when needed.
1st Shift 6am to 4pm with some overtime.
Pay range: $25-$30 an hour based on experience.
