Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mold Change / Set-Up Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, removing, and setting molds in injection molding machines to ensure efficient production start-up and consistent product quality.

This is a critical, hands-on position that directly impacts production uptime and performance. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve setup issues quickly.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove and install molds in injection molding machines
• Set up, adjust, and change over molds and support equipment
• Verify machines and work cells are properly set up before production runs
• Troubleshoot setup issues and help improve processes
• Operate forklift (Hi-Lo) safely to move molds and materials
• Complete setup reports and required documentation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous manufacturing or mold setup experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Forklift experience or willingness to obtain certification

Physical Requirements

• Frequent walking, bending, and use of hands
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
