Position Summary
In this role, you will support the maintenance and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System while ensuring that products meet stringent aerospace customer and regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, women-owned small business with major customers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain quality processes and documentation in compliance with AS9100D and customer-specific requirements. Perform root cause analysis on nonconformances, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and track effectiveness. Conduct internal audits, support external customer and third-party audits. Review and approve engineering changes, first article inspections (FAI per AS9102), and inspection plans.
Support supplier quality activities, including evaluations and performance monitoring. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma tools). Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment. Provide quality training to production staff as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, or related) preferred. Relevant experience may substitute.
2–5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
Strong working knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001, AS9102 (First Article Inspection), and GD&T.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
