Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Sandblaster to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing surfaces by removing rust, paint, and contaminants using abrasive blasting equipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in an industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate sandblasting/abrasive blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces
- Remove rust, paint, and other materials from metal and equipment parts
- Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure quality standards are met
- Prepare materials and equipment for blasting, including masking and setup
- Maintain and clean blasting equipment and work areas
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE
- Assist with general shop duties as needed
Requirements
- Previous sandblasting or industrial experience preferred (but not required)
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Attention to detail and ability to meet quality standards
- Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Work Environment
- Industrial/shop setting
- Exposure to dust, noise, and outdoor/warehouse conditions
- Must wear required protective equipment
