Job Opening: Machinist

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Machinist to join our team in a fast-paced industrial environment. This position involves operating conventional machining equipment, fabricating and repairing custom components, and supporting mechanical and hydraulic systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in equipment repair and machining processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate manual/conventional machining equipment, including lathes, drill presses, and hydraulic support equipment
• Machine custom and replacement components for equipment repair, service, and rebuilds
• Build, repair, and modify tooling, fixtures, and mechanical parts
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and mechanical drawings
• Measure and inspect parts using precision tools (calipers, micrometers, indicators)
• Support hydraulic systems by:
  • Machining parts for hydraulic cylinders, mounts, and housings
  • Assisting with equipment repair, modification, and rebuilds
  • Troubleshooting mechanical issues related to hydraulic assemblies
• Perform mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting with service and maintenance teams
• Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections on shop tools and equipment
• Assist with equipment modifications, changeovers, and emergency repairs
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe machine shop environment
• Follow all safety, quality, and company procedures
• Reference internal notes and job details (including team documentation when applicable)

Requirements

• Experience operating manual machining equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Experience working with or around hydraulic systems (preferred)
• Ability to use precision measuring tools accurately
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must follow all safety guidelines and procedures
