The role involves fitting and welding structural tube assemblies and components in accordance with fabrication drawings and WPS requirements. The individual will perform layout, cutting, grinding, and fitting operations to prepare materials and will verify dimensions and alignment using measuring tools, squares, and levels. Responsibilities include performing MIG (GMAW) and/or Flux Core (FCAW) welding on carbon steel materials while maintaining high-quality standards in weld appearance, size, and penetration. The individual may work independently or as part of a fabrication team to meet production schedules, inspect welds for conformance, and report any nonconformities to supervision. Operation of welding machines, grinders, saws, and other fabrication tools must be done in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and shop protocols, along with completing other duties as assigned.
