Job Title: Welding Department Supervisor

Location: West Chester, OH

Schedule: 1st shift

Salary: $70k-$85k

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Welding Department Supervisor to lead daily welding operations and ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, hands-on welding experience, and a solid understanding of TIG and/or Orbital welding processes.

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of welders and welding operators
• Assign work, manage labor resources, and ensure production schedules are met
• Ensure weld quality meets company, customer, and industry standards
• Train, coach, and mentor welding personnel
• Review blueprints, welding procedures, and work instructions with the team
• Monitor workflow, identify issues, and implement process improvements
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred)
• Previous supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
• Strong knowledge of welding procedures, symbols, and specifications
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Welding certifications (AWS, ASME, or equivalent)
• Experience with orbital welding systems and automated welding equipment
• Knowledge of quality standards, inspections, and documentation
