Job Opening: Laser Operator

Position Summary

The Laser Operator uses computerized laser machines to engrave and cut parts according to company, customer, and regulatory agency standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate laser cutting machines for stainless steel tubing.

• Program machines using CAD/CAM or CNC software to meet production requirements.

• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.

• Adjust machine settings to ensure precision cuts and optimal performance.

• Inspect finished parts to verify quality and dimensional accuracy.

• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laser equipment.

• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently.

• Maintain production records and documentation.

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).

• 2+ years of experience operating CNC or laser cutting machines.

• Experience with stainless steel tubing and tube laser cutting strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in machine programming (G-code, CAD/CAM software, or similar).

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

• Strong attention to detail and quality control.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
