Position Overview
The Electrical/Mechanical Assembler is responsible for building high-quality irrigation systems, including pump stations and control enclosures. This role combines hands-on mechanical assembly, electrical wiring, technical interpretation, and quality testing in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Job Description
Key responsibilities include:
- Build electrical sub-assemblies, control enclosures, and mechanical units
- Mount components, perform field wiring, and install cable harnesses
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, and CAD drawings
- Load PLC and touchscreen control software
- Perform functional and continuity testing using digital multimeters
- Troubleshoot assembly and electrical malfunctions
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure product standards are met
- Assist with process improvements to increase efficiency and throughput
- Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S principles
- Perform basic preventive maintenance on shop tools and equipment

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Entry-level: Minimum 6 months of mechanical or electrical assembly experience
- Senior roles: Typically require 5+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, including soldering irons, drill presses, torque wrenches, and calipers
- Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
