Maintenance Helper – 3rd Shift
We’re seeking a reliable Maintenance Helper to support plant maintenance operations on our overnight (3rd) shift. This role assists with preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in a food manufacturing environment while following all safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related issues
- Complete work orders accurately and safely
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and safety procedures
- Assist with ammonia refrigeration systems
- Perform ARC, TIG, and MIG welding as needed
- Read blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, and technical documents
- Handle basic plumbing and pipe fitting
- Work in refrigerated areas (down to -20°F)
- Participate on the HAZMAT team
- Work overtime as needed
Requirements
- Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
- Basic PLC knowledge preferred
- Welding experience preferred
- Ability to work 3rd shift and overtime
- Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills
