Location: New Brighton, MN
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience
Employment Type: Full-Time | Hourly | Non-Exempt
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Human Resources Coordinator to support daily HR operations and talent-related functions across U.S. and Canadian locations. This role plays a key part in delivering a positive experience for applicants, employees, and leaders by supporting recruiting, onboarding, compliance, HR administration, and special projects.
The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily Human Resources operations while upholding company policies, procedures, and core values
- Assist with job posting, advertising, and recruitment activities across multiple platforms
- Utilize the applicant tracking system (ATS) to screen candidates, coordinate interviews, track candidate status, and conduct reference checks
- Prepare, distribute, track, and file offer letters, employment agreements, and related documentation
- Coordinate and process background checks and drug screenings
- Facilitate new-hire onboarding, including orientation, paperwork, system access, equipment requests, and coordination with IT and leadership
- Maintain accurate, confidential electronic employee records and HR files (status changes, benefits, training records, certifications, etc.)
- Assist with HR compliance efforts, including EEOC, ADA, FMLA, privacy regulations, and internal audits
- Track and reconcile HR department expenses, credit card statements, and reimbursement documentation
- Assist with policy development, updates, required postings, and internal communications
- Coordinate meetings, training sessions, employee development programs, and related logistics
- Support HR projects such as performance management initiatives, diversity and inclusion efforts, and HRIS implementations
- Assist with vendor and third-party relationship management
- Stay current on HR best practices, industry trends, and employment law updates
- Provide administrative and project support to HR leadership as needed
- Translate HR documents and communications into Spanish (if bilingual)
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years of Human Resources experience (internship experience considered)
- Post-secondary coursework in Human Resources preferred
- Degree or certificate in Human Resources or related field considered an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist others
- Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow professionally
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish (asset)
- Experience supporting multi-site HR operations
- Exposure to HRIS systems and applicant tracking systems
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Office environment with extended periods of computer use
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and use of hands
- Ability to focus on screens for extended periods
