Electrical Assembly Supervisor
Role Accountabilities
? Receive work order components from Marshalling Dept.
? Verify all correct parts were received.
? Check parts issued to the assembly dept. for accuracy. Notify production of discrepancies.
? Check all parts for vendor defects. Notify inventory & manager of defective or back ordered parts.
? Issue all work orders/schematics/specifications and work instructions to the assembly team.
? Check that each assembler’s tools are correct and operational.
? Instruct all new employees on methods and techniques required in assembly dept.
? Help any assembler with questions on work orders, tool use, and other assembly problems.
? Fill in for assembler that must leave the assembly line for a short period.
? Make random inspections on the in-process product throughout the work shift.
? Repair defects found by quality control.
? Keep the manager aware of any factors that will affect the on-time production schedule, such as absentees, assembly tool problems, engineering problems & personal problems of assemblers.
? Constant monitoring of assemblers and work area for unsafe work practices, equipment, or clothing.
? Verify that assemblers have properly cleaned the work area at the end of each work shift.
? Tool maintenance, work area and related tools
? Responsible for all assembly employees as direct reports & will also give periodic performance reviews.
? Initiates appropriate disciplinary action in accordance with established rules & regulations.
? Maintain assemblers work schedule & time.
? Interview & assess new assembly line employees.
