Job Opening: Team Lead

We are seeking a hands-on, motivated Working Supervisor to lead production line operations, oversee shipping and receiving activities, and ensure safe, efficient material handling processes. This leadership role requires active participation on the floor—working alongside the team to meet production targets, properly sort materials, and ensure customer payments are processed accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to motivate and guide a team in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team of 5–6 employees in daily operations.

• Operate forklifts to support production lines and material movement.

• Monitor and manage production lines to ensure continuous workflow.

• Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with company standards.

• Oversee unloading of inbound materials, ensuring proper documentation.

• Ensure accuracy in shipping and receiving processes.

• Sort and identify recyclable materials to ensure correct customer payment.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility environment.

• Serve as the first-line leader for the team, providing direction and support.

• Communicate material flow updates, production issues, and progress reports to management.

Qualifications:

• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

• Proven forklift operation skills.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Leads by example with a positive, team-oriented approach.

• Basic understanding of warehouse safety protocols and OSHA standards.

• Reliable with excellent communication skills.

• Basic computer proficiency (e.g., email, data entry).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced recycling facility environment.
