Select Staffing has a great opportunity for a Quality Inspector within a manufacturing company in Chatsworth, CA.
Pay: $21 – $23 DOE
Hours: 7AM – 5:30PM
Monday to Thursday
BASIC FUNCTIONS:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Inspector to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position requires strong knowledge of FAA regulations, quality systems, and precision measuring instruments. The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, motivated and demonstrate he/she can work under minimal supervision. Other qualities include good communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines and the ability to work with diverse personalities. Additionally, but not limited to responsibilities listed below:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Conduct in-process and final inspections in accordance with priorities established in the manufacturing /production plan.
- Ensures that product conforms to standards by correctly reading blueprints and applicable specifications and effectively using inspection measuring equipment.
- Able to perform open set ups for first piece inspections and validations.
- Knowledge of dimensional inspection using a surface plate, height indicator, caliper, micrometer, drop indicator, optical comparator and equivalent inspection tools.
- Experience inspecting machined castings, electronic components, surface finish, plating and including deburring plating and welding.
- Perform first article inspection reports in accordance with AS9102 standards.
- Support non-conforming product procedures, first article inspections, source inspections, and audits.
- Additional functions as they become necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience is required.
- Lean Manufacturing concepts experience a plus.
- Proficient in English language, read and write.
- Familiar working under AS9100 and ISO 9000 standard practices.
- Experience with electronic and mechanical assemblies.
- Experience working with parts requiring proper Electric Static Discharge handling.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Able to work under minimal supervision.
- Is willing to work OT as needed.
