Job Opening: Inspector, QA
Description
Manufacturing company is looking for a QA Inspector for a 2nd shift position in the City of Chatsworth, CA.
PAY: $20.00 PER HOUR
SHIFT: 1ST SHIFT
HOURS: 1PM – 1AM (Overtime is mandatory)
Position Summary:
To ensure the highest quality standards are maintained in the Manufacture and Packaging
of products.
• Your primary activities will include but are not limited to:
• Performs and documents a wide variety of inspections, checks, and sampling
procedures during the production process
• Performs and documents environmental monitoring sampling procedures during and
prior to the production process.
• Inspects and approves equipment, material and products at different stages of
production
• Records observations for improving processes or non-compliances based on current
standard operating procedures and practices
• Receives, identifies, and collects samples of incoming raw materials, components, and
finished products and reviews shipments against Bill of Lading, packing slips,
inspection paperwork, as well as certificate of analysis or compliance
• Inspects and verifies outgoing shipments for accuracy
• Releases and issues labels for production
• Performs line clearance and inspects processing area for removal of all previous
product, components and foreign materials.
• Monitors the equipment to ensure proper operation and calibration
• Monitors all aspects of the manufacturing/packaging operations and reports non conformances to the Supervisor or Manager
• Performs line checks and AQLs as required by batch record and on the job training.
• Reviews documentation to assure accuracy. .
Maintains all controlled document files and test records in a timely and accurate manner • Keep management apprised of any condition that may impact production
• Provides customer service support as needed to customers and other company team members
• Follows established department SOP’s, Company cGMPs, and all instructions, whether verbal or written
• Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations
• Maintains a safe work environment and functions in a safe manner
• Performs other duties, job related or otherwise, as assigned
(Minimum qualifications):
• High School education (HS Diploma or GED preferred)
• Experience in food/pharmaceutical/nutraceutical processing operations, FDA regulated industry, or combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successful perform the job (preferred) • Able to read, write, and speak in English
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, rounding)
• Strong computer skills, including keyboarding and working knowledge of MS Office
• Organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Ability to maintain a positive, professional, cooperative demeanor
• Ability to foster productive working relationship with management, coworkers, vendors and customers
• Ability to interpret, comply with, and support Company policies, procedures, work rules, and protocols • Knowledge of products specifications, including how products should run during manufacturing process
• Ability to adapt effectively to workplace changes and new job duties/responsibilities
• Ability to represent the Company in a positive and professional manner at all times
