Manufacturing Company in the city of Chatsworth, CA is looking for a Shipping Clerk
Job Description:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to customer orders.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments by checking items, quantities, and documentation.
- Ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transit.
- Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control by updating inventory systems when orders are shipped.
- Perform cycle counts and report discrepancies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all outgoing shipments, including tracking numbers and carrier details.
- Prepare and file all shipping-related documents in compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Compliance: Ensure that all shipments comply with domestic and international shipping regulations, including customs documentation.
- Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) during all shipping activities.
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in using shipping software, inventory management systems, and MS Office.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 40pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Work Environment: This position is based in a warehouse environment, which may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and equipment.
- Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license Forklift certification is a plus but not necessary.

Pay$18-$20 DOE
Hours 7AM-4PM with possibility of over time
