Summary:
A Customer Account Coordinator manages client accounts by converting purchase orders into manufacturing orders, ensuring proper shipping and billing information, and investigating order discrepancies. They also maintain customer profiles, track inventory levels, and communicate with internal and external customers. The role also involves participating in training programs and building relationships with internal teams like operations, shipping, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction: Acting as the primary point of contact for IP’s customers.
- Order Management: Converting customer orders into manufacturing production orders.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring and managing customer inventory levels.
- Communication: Communicating with internal and external customers regarding order status, estimates, and changes.
- Account Management: Tracking customer account credits and debits, and investigating discrepancies.
- Relationship Building: Establishing strong relationships with internal teams to stay informed of plant activities.
- Training: Participating in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Prior experience in sales, customer service, marketing, or account management can be advantageous.
- Both verbal and written communication are essential for interacting with clients and internal teams.
- Account coordinators manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, requiring strong organizational skills.
- Meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively are key to success.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software is expected.
- The ability to build relationships with clients, address their needs, and resolve issues is crucial.
- Account coordinators often need to identify and solve problems related to client accounts.
- Positive attitude, ability to work well in a team, and interpersonal skills are important.
