General Job Description:
A Cycle Counter is responsible for various warehouse functions including but not limited to shipping, receiving, order picking and staging, production support, cycle counting of various commodities and item/ lot / location audits and verifications. Cycle counter will be under the direction of the Inventory Control Specialist and/or Warehouse Supervisor.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promotes a safe working environment and adheres to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures, company safety rules, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP’s), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) at all times.
- Cycle count inventory on an as-needed basis
- Assist in the scrapping of un-needed, obsolete, and damaged inventories
- Assist in various inventory projects such as consolidation, customer returns and item verifications
- Perform various computer functions such as running reports, entering updated inventory data by using basic computer commands in QAD and barcode inventory system
- Enter inventory data using a handheld barcode gun while counting in the various warehouses.
- Research inaccuracies
- Run and execute various inventory and warehouse reports.
- Pick and stage materials for work orders according to internal SOP.
- Load/unload, verify and receive incoming materials
- Support production lines by supplying necessary materials for production operation as requested
- Verify and transfer materials to and from production floor
- Prepare, verify, and transfer customer returns
Physical Requirements
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods
Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent.
- 1-year experience working in a fast-paced warehouse environment as Cycle Counter or similar role.
- Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements
- Good time-management skills
- Strong English communications skills: speaking, reading, and writing.
- Intermediate math and analytical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Intermediate PC Knowledge i.e. MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and warehouse management system are preferred.
- Thorough understanding of QAD.
- Flexibility to work overtime hours during peak season or special schedules as needed to satisfying job requirements.

- Forklift certified (all lifts)
- Ability to accurately track inventory and create reports
