We are seeking an experienced and versatile Material Handler to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on, fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining organization, safety, and efficiency in material movement and facility operations.
Pay: $18/hr. – $20/hr.

Position Summary
The Material Handler operates powered industrial trucks and other lifting equipment to transport, load, and organize materials throughout the facility. This role also supports shipping and receiving functions, basic maintenance and housekeeping duties, and occasional over-the-road deliveries of large components.
This is a hybrid “utility” position — roughly 80% on-site handling material movement, facility maintenance, and equipment operation, and 20% driving larger components to and from local and regional plants (occasional overnight travel required).
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts (up to 13,000 lb capacity), cranes, and other material-handling equipment.
- Drive company vehicles, including flatbeds, for regional deliveries and pickups (CDL-B required).
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tooling, and components within the facility and to external sites.
- Record and maintain accurate inventory and shipment data.
- Pull and verify materials for production orders, shipping, and receiving.
- Create shipping documents, stage outgoing orders, and tag incoming/outgoing freight.
- Perform daily safety and operational checks on equipment (fueling, lubricating, battery charging, etc.).
- Assist with facility upkeep, including maintenance, housekeeping, and waste management.
- Bundle and recycle cardboard, and manage steel/aluminum scrap for pickup.
- Support safe, organized storage and staging areas to maintain efficient workflow.
- Identify and categorize non-working tools or equipment and report issues promptly.
- Promote teamwork, reliability, and continuous improvement across all operations.
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
- Valid CDL-B license and clean driving record.
- Experience safely operating forklifts, cranes, or similar industrial equipment.
- Strong understanding of MIOSHA and workplace safety standards.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials in a fast-paced, physical environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Reliable work ethic and willingness to take initiative across multiple tasks.
- High school diploma or GED required.
