Roles and Responsibilities:
• Execute testing procedures on customer supplied test samples per work instructions and training procedures. (USCAR21 or SAE)
• Program and operate servo-hydraulic test frame systems (various models)
• Assist with mounting test specimen and fixtures
• Evaluate and characterize fixtures for fatigue tests
• Accurately complete technical reports, test results, and all other required documentation
• Execute tests in strict compliance with I.T.S Laboratories quality system
• Coordinate with the Director of Operations and the principal engineers to maintain testing efficiency.
• Support the Director of Operations in identifying and eliminating workflow / schedule bottlenecks to maximizing operational efficiency
• Establish and oversee a regular maintenance schedule for all servo-hydraulic test frame systems and associated equipment. Requirements (Special Knowledge, Education, Ability and Skills):
• Due to nature of work, US citizenship is required. (must have)
• Experience in working in a testing environment. (must have)
• Exhibit diligence in executing work instructions. (must have)
• Demonstrate proactive, detail oriented, and thorough work ethics
• Must be able to follow work instructions (verbal and written)
• Able to professionally interact with customers
• Must show proficiency in use of popular computer software products (Microsoft Office, etc)
• Must work well individually and in a team environment
• Education: Associates and/or Bachelors degree in Engineering
• Must exhibit good mechanical abilities and background

Pay: Up to $28/hr based on experience
Precision machining company specializing in high-quality components for aerospace, defense, medical, and other demanding industries. The CNC Lathe Operator is responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning machines to manufacture parts that meet exact specifications. This role requires hands-on experience with CNC lathes, strong blueprint reading skills, and a commitment to precision and efficiency.
Job Duties:

Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision components.

Load raw materials and set tooling in accordance with setup sheets and engineering drawings.

Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine machine setup and operations.

Monitor machining operations to detect issues with tooling, materials, or machine performance.

Measure and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and dimensional standards.

Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure proper machine calibration.

Make program edits as needed to ensure optimal performance and part accuracy.

Maintain production records and complete quality documentation.
-
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve processes and throughput.

Comply with all safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
-
3+ years of experience operating and setting up CNC lathes.

Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and GD&T.

Strong understanding of CNC programming fundamentals (G-code, M-code).

Familiarity with Fanuc or similar CNC controls.
-
Skilled in using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, indicators).
-
Excellent attention to detail and quality.

Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
