In Waterville, OH we are searching for a Die Cast Process Technician for a direct hire opportunity on day shift.

Pay range varying based on experience $25 - $32 / hour 

Benefits for a Die Cast Process Technician:

Duties for a Die Cast Process Technician: 

  • Utilize working knowledge of die cast setup and process control. 

  • Die cast experience 

  • Die cast set up and process control including working with temperatures, shot pressures, cycle time, etc. 

     

 

Job Requirements:

  • Working knowledge and minimum three years experience in die casting set up and process control.
  • Ability to set die cast dies in machine.
  • Ability to set trim dies in trim press.
  • Understanding of die cast process control such as die temperature, shot pressure, cycle time, application of die release agent, etc.
  • Ability to oversee the operation of the die cast cell. Able to remove stuck castings, remove solder, make adjustments to die release agent, adjust temperatures, etc. to produce quality castings. Able to make minor trim die adjustments to maintain proper trim.
  • Able to work well with others as part of a team.

Duties of a Tool Maker:

  • Responsible for the repair to tools and dies and the set-up and tears down of production jobs. 
  • Insures operating parameters are at optimum levels by making the necessary adjustments within engineering specified operating boundaries.
  • Familiar with and uphold safety 
  • Assures appropriate lockout/tag-out procedures are followed when necessary
  • Coordinates efforts with supervisors, engineers, production, and maintenance employees on tool and die related issues
  • Set up and adjust dies while adhering to quality procedures and work instruction.
  • Assist in developing and implementing process controls of tooling and die equipment
  • Assures adjustments of dies and fixtures are maintained to improve production quality and efficiencies.
  • Change and rebuild dies and equipment, in a timely manner. 
  • Basic understanding of Quality Management System and Environmental Management System standards
  • Be self-directed and encourage continuous improvement through involvement and input

Job Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in a related technical field or High School diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years manufacturing experience with journeymen card  
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize
  • Excellent problem solving skills such as 8D and 5 Whys
  • Able to train and deliver information to various work groups
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to learn various computer programs
  • Understanding and strong knowledge of robotic systems, work instructions, and product layout
  • Excellent communication skills as evidenced in employee relations, team skills, and has the ability to interface directly with the management, production and other skilled trade employees to resolve issues
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow-up skills
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and to work as a team member
  • Must pass an unbiased off site test.
  • Ability to complete visual quality inspections
  • Ability to read and follow written work instructions and safety guidelines
  • Maintain a good attendance record

We are searching for Maintenance Journeyman Electricians for direct hire opportunities for both union and non-union facilities. Pay for this role is varying based on experience $34 - $36 / hour. 

Shifts available: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.

Locations available: Monroe, MI (non-union facility) and Toledo, OH (union facility)

Duties of a Maintenance Journeyman Electrician:

  • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Starts devices to test their performance.
  • Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
  • Repairs electrical equipment.
  • Follows OSHA standard when performing lockout/tagout procedures.

Job Requirements:

  • Maintenance Journeymen work every other weekend, alternating with the other journeymen. This can include holidays.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Government or company-sponsored apprenticeship program or degree preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to interpret bar graphs.
  • Some knowledge of metallurgy or steel processing, conveyor systems, logistics,
  • Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, or other organization development disciplines
  • Manufacturing, automotive, furnace operations, or metal stamping experience
  • Mechanical aptitude
