In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and pneumatic systems, performing preventive and predictive maintenance, and assisting with equipment installations and upgrades.

  Key Responsibilities 

 Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production equipment, utilities, and facility systems.

  • Execute work orders including inspections, lubrication, cleaning, calibration, filter changes, and repairs. 
  • Partner with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues quickly and effectively. Safely perform all duties by following PPE requirements, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and other safety protocols. 
  • Support new line setups, equipment installations, and capital projects. 
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and pneumatic machinery, motors, pumps, blowers, mills, and other rotating equipment. 
  • Use diagnostic tools such as multimeters, gauges, calipers, and dial indicators to assess equipment performance. Operate basic metal fabrication tools (welders, grinders, saws, etc.) when needed. 
  • Complete daily inspections of utilities including chillers, boilers, air compressors, pumps, and RO units. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe maintenance shop. Tools & Equipment Used Standard shop and hand tools (drill press, saws, welders, etc.) Diagnostic and testing equipment (computers, vibration analyzers, multimeters, etc.) Forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts PPE in compliance with company safety practices 

 

Job Requirements:

 Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience (required) Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Dependable, reliable, and committed to excellent attendance S
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Capable of working in varied conditions, including heat and heights (ladder work) Able to wear a respirator for extended periods Reliable transportation to and from work
  • High School Diploma or GED required;
  • Associate degree in a technical field preferred.

• Ability to work indepen Two 15min paid breaks and One 30min unpaid lunch break. Conversions at 5 to 6 months. PPE supplied: Uniform, work boots, hearing protection, goggles, disposable gloves. Must be clean shaven (a mustache is ok.) 30 minute unpaid shower is required. 3M Secure Click Respirator. It’s a controlled environment, Employees leave uniforms there and shower off before leaving. An interview with the hiring manager on site.

Details

  • $18 an hour with increase when hired on full time
  • Night shift with availability to work day shift if needed and during training
  • 12 hour shifts

Essential Functions

  • Sets up and starts all machines, checking all controls for adherence to procedures.
  • Weighs ingredients to meet recipe specifications and inserts into machinery.
  • Monitors production and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.  Troubleshoots equipment and processing issues.
  • Operates machinery to mix, discharge or handle materials according to operating procedures.
  • Examines materials visually or physically to ensure conformance with established standards.
  • May take samples of materials to lab for evaluations and instructions.
  • Refers issues/problems to lead/supervisor for disposition.
  • Performs all required machine cleaning
  • Completes and maintains all required computer inputs.  Responsible for data integrity.
  • Documents work completed as required including logs, data reports, procedures, etc.
  • Participates in training, retraining and continual improvement processes and methods.
  • Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Follows all rules, laws and procedures related to HS&E, ISO, and other regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

 

 

 

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience

  • US High School diploma or GED equivalency
  • Manufacturing Machine Operation Experience a plus
  • Experience with Polymer Process Experience (Extrusion, Injection Molding, Milling) or Lead Operator or Shift Leader Experience in Manufacturing a plus

 Additional Qualifications

  • Must successfully complete assessment of mechanical skills and applications
  • Must proficiently communicate in writing and verbally in English.
  • Basic competency in computer and PC software including email, internet, and MS office.
  • Must have superior manual dexterity for hand tools of various types.
  • Must be able to safely operate a forklift.
  • Must have problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Must have flexibility to work overtime coverage as required and weekend work.
