The Quality Inspector will uphold the quality policies of our company and provide oversight to ensure that all shipments meet Rain Bird quality standards. The Quality Inspector performs regular product evaluations, records inspection results, and communicates improvements to the production team. To excel in this role, applicants should demonstrate great attention to detail with strong communication skills.

1st shift Mon-Fri 7:00 am- 3:00pm

2nd shift Mon-Fri 3:00pm -11:30pm

3rd shift Mon-Fri 11:30pm -7:30am

4th shift Mon-Fri 12:00pm - 8:30pm

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Perform assessments on products staged for shipping.
  • Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
  • Evaluate and ensure that packaging and labeling standards meet requirements.
  • Communicate necessary improvements to the DC team to ensure quality control.
  • Document shift performance by completing reports and performance records.
  • Support training for production associates on quality standards and policies.
  • Coordinate the containment process, i.e. MRB for suspect material or product.
  • Generate discrepancy reports.

 MACHINE OPERATORS

1st Shift               Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

2ND Shift              Monday – Friday 3:00 pm to 1130 pm

3rd Shift               Sunday – Thursday 11:00 pm to 7:30 am

We are looking for Machine Operators to set up, maintain and operate machinery. You’ll ensure the interminable and efficient running of production. A great machine operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.

Job Requirements:

The Production Machine Operator under limited supervision:

  • Sets up and operates at least 1 major automated assembly machines, packaging machines and extrusion machines.
  • Completes routine machine setups including changeover, part loading and preventative maintenance.
  • Refers more complex problems and/or programming changes to a Skilled Machine Operator.
  • Is responsible for safety, and housekeeping for the respective work area(s).
  • Is responsible for quality checks and production reporting in company systems.
  • Assists in cycle counting and resolution of inventory issues.
  • Is capable of performing all the jobs of a PMOI including the agency employee’s functions.
  • Assists Production Supervisors to achieve day to day safety, quality and Production goals.
    • Is responsible for safety, and housekeeping for the respective work area(s)
    • Assists Production Supervisor to achieve day to day safety, quality and production goals
    • Ability to identifying quality defects and ensures quality of product produced
    • Ability to measure and record quality data
    • Ability to read packaging and assembly instructions
    • Able to handle all packaging needs
    • Assists with changeovers where procedures are tested and well established
    • Able to fill out production paperwork

  • The ideal Forklift Operator must be dependable and able to handle forklift equipment safely
  • Good physical condition, 
  • Good hand-eye coordination and good motor skills
  • Must have prior Forklift Operator experience
  • Scanning labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination
  • Drives sit-down and stand-up forklifts, and other industrial vehicles such as cherry-pickers and automated pallet jacks as needed.
  • Maintains clean work area.
  • Pallet building and pallet picks.
  • Loads goods 
  • Ensures the safe and efficient movement of goods.
  • Follows safety regulations and company guidelines.
  • Loads and unloads product 
  • Utilizes radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment to track inventory.
  • Shrink wraps goods or otherwise secures them and prepares them for transport.
  • Maneuvering forklifts safely in busy industrial environments 
  • Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions 
  • Regularly checking forklift equipment 
  • Uses sit down and stand-up forklifts to stock, pick, and transport pallets of finished products in warehouse, load/unload trucks, transfer products.
  • Utilizes computerized system which may include radio frequency to maintain records of product movement in and out of warehouse.
  • Checks forklift for safety and smooth operation daily (e.g., fluids, horns, back up lights).
  • Performs inventory duties including counting, verifying and checking documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Checks that loads are centered and properly stacked.
  • Rotates stock so that oldest items are shipped or sold first.
  • Quality assurance (QA) duties, including reporting product damage and shortages.
  • Utilizes radio frequency (RF) scanning equipment to track inventory.
  • Shrink wraps goods or otherwise secures them and prepares them for transport.
