This is a general labor position. Associates will complete various tasks in a food manufacturing facility including packaging and palletizing.

  • Must have a H.S. Diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to stand and or sit for entire 12 hour shift.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
  • Steel toe shoes required.

Scope of Inventory

Central Supplies supports a wide range of materials, including:

  • Repair and machine parts (similar to an automotive parts environment)
  • General factory supplies and PPE
  • Select laboratory items
  • Sanitation and cleaning goods

We currently manage approximately 20,000 unique items and perform over 27,000 individual counts annually.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Travel throughout the plant to designated storage locations
  • Perform accurate physical counts on assigned inventory items
  • Record counts manually or by using a handheld scanning/counting device
  • Identify parts correctly by matching identifiers (e.g., motors, bearings, gears, sensors, pumps, chains)
  • Straighten, organize, and face shelving and bins while counting
  • Shift stored items as needed to verify correct quantities (within safety standards)
  • Assist with other related storeroom tasks if required

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently once trained
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Comfortable using a handheld device with small buttons and display
  • Basic mechanical or parts knowledge is preferred (not in-depth)
  • Proven reliability and consistency in previous roles
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, standing, stooping, bending, and light lifting
