Job Duties and Responsibilities CNC Operator: 
Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc. 
CNC Operator must understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc. 
CNC operator must prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines 
CNC Operator will supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result 
Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly 
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality

Job Duties for Brake Press Operator: 
Sets up and operates power brake to bend, notch, punch, form rolls, arc, or straighten, metal plates or sheet metal and structural shapes to blueprint or sketch specifications. 
Selects, positions, and aligns dies in machine ram and bed, using shims, rule, square, or templates. 
Turns setscrews or bolts to fasten clamp bar that holds die in position. 
Turns adjustment screws to set specified pressure of ram and clearance between dies to thickness of metal, as indicated by calibrated scale or feelers. 
Positions flat sheet metal manually to align layout marks to dies. 
Starts machine to lower ram or depresses pedal to activate ram that bends or cuts metal. 
Verifies dimensions of finished bent part using tape measures, templates or scales. 
Record inspection results on brake inspection documents and turn in daily.

Load materials into production equipment.  
Mount materials or workpieces onto production equipment.  
Record operational or production data.  
Reshape metal workpieces to established specifications.  
Sharpen cutting or grinding tools.  

Job Qualifications for Machinists: 
Ability to bend, lift and stand for duration of shift.  
Ability to lift parts up to 50lbs.  
Ability to prioritize safety and the use of safety gear.  
Ability to read blueprints and follow specification sheets.  
Basic computer literacy  
Knowledge of basic hand/power tools
