Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana in Princeton, IN is seeking a Toyota Experience Center Ambassador at $18 per hour, Tuesday–Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (18 hours per week). This role involves scheduling tours, conducting and narrating up to four daily guided plant tours, safely driving an electric tram, assisting guests, preparing and cleaning PPE, delivering presentations to diverse groups, and performing outreach to expand tour participation. Candidates must be at least 18 with a high school diploma, proficient in Microsoft Office, and possess strong communication and customer service skills. Driver certification, safety training, and passing an eye and hearing exam are required. About the job:

The mixing operator is responsible for making batches of material in accordance with customer/employer specifications. Other tasks include: weighing material, cleaning mixing area, trouble shooting problems, moving material to work station via forklift, completing necessary paperwork, etc.

Shift Details:  

1st Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

2nd Monday - Friday 3:30pm-2:00am (5 10s)

3rd Sunday-Friday 11:30pm - 7:00am

Pay Details: 1st shift $23.00 per hour, 2nd/3rd shift $25.00 per hour - 2 hours of scheduled Overtime daily for 2nd shift.

Job Requirements:

- GED or High School Diploma.

- AT LEAST 1 year of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment is highly preferred.

- Longevity in prior roles is a must.

• Transfers waste rags and paper from drums to Gaylord boxes
• Crushes cans and drums in drum crusher
• Punctures aerosol cans.
• Picks-up, boxes, and stores used light bulbs
• Runs daily route to pick up full drums waste containers and/or empty raw material drums for storage and disposal
• Weighs waste containers before putting into storage
• Assists in loading waste containers for shipment
• Follows safety guidelines and procedures
• Follows non-hazardous solid waste (NHSW) procedures
• Participates in team meetings and trainings
• Cleans work area according to 5s standards
• Document carts pulled on production sheet
• Assists in other areas as time permits

Toyota Indiana is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Toyota Experience Center Ambassador to advance the mission of Toyota’s Experience Center and manufacturing facility by conducting guided tours of the Toyota plant for visitors of all ages.

Utilizing the techniques of dialogue, inquiry and storytelling, the primary responsibility of this role will be to educate visitors about Toyota’s core values, employment opportunities, community initiatives and the company’s vision for the future of mobility.

In this role, Ambassadors will be required to narrate scripted tours and safely drive electric trams in a high-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates must be energetic, enthusiastic, cheerful and willing to learn. Successful employees will have an interest in working with people—especially students—and be willing to become actively involved in the programs of the Experience Center.

What You’ll Do:

• Schedule tour reservations via phone and online registration system
• Support public tours by driving an electric tram and narrating up to three to four tours daily, 3 days a week—some Saturdays with advanced notice
• Complete required safety training to drive and work in plant areas—renew training annually
• Aid in the loading and unloading tour guests
• Prepare and clean PPE (personal protective equipment) after each tour
• Give presentations in front of large, diverse groups of people
• Prepare, update and fact-check tour materials
• Perform phone and email outreach to cultivate and expand tour guest base
• Record and report any unusual incidents or violation of safety guidelines

What You’ll Bring:

• Ability to speak in front of groups of people
• Ability to work with all levels within the organization including executives and VIP guests

Required Training/Testing:

• Driving Assignment – Must be able to meet requirements to drive vehicle on assignment. Successful candidates will complete driver certification and safety training courses before driving a tram.
• Eye Exam/Hearing Test – Must be able to pass an eye exam and hearing test check before obtaining tram driving clearance. If needed Toyota will provide OSHA approved prescription glasses. Toyota will not provide hearing aids if required.
• Workplace Training – Must complete onboarding training and annual training as required/assigned by employer and/or client at will.
