Job Description Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Troubleshoot, support & repair of all production equipment
  • Determine material, parts, and equipment to be used for repair, installation and stock.
  • Install, inspect, repair and maintain the mechanical, electrical and other related systems in all production and supporting departments
  • Coordinate and participate in scheduled/preventive maintenance on all production equipment
  • Inspect, operate and maintain steam, heating, cooling and water treatment systems in entire plant
  • Complete all necessary documentation as described under company guidelines
  • Design and implement installation of new equipment and tools
  • Must comply with all company safety rules and policies
  • Other duties as assigned

2-3 months contract 

  • Process parts according to shop work order and applicable specifications and drawings
  • Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks
  • Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.)
  • Remove shielding once processing has been completed visually inspect parts to ensure the process has been completed correctly apply touch up paint to areas of concern
  • Complete work order and all necessary paperwork according to job, drawings and specifications
  • Manage hazardous materials safely and in accordance with state and federal regulations perform other duties as required

The QA Tech must ensure compliance of products with specifications and compliance of personnel with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). This position provides oversight, guidance and training of production personnel to ensure the manufacture of quality food.  This position is also responsible for identifying product that does not meet the Company’s food safety and/or quality requirements and preventing its distribution.

Job Requirements:

  • Practices proper chemical, physical, microbiological, and sensory testing procedures.
  • Inspects incoming goods to meet quality standards defined by ingredient specifications.
  • Collects and organizes retained, shelf-life, and microbiological test samples per production.
  • Reviews and organize processing documentation to assure products are within respective standard specification, and report any deviations to the Quality Assurance Supervisor, while placing the products on Hold.
  • Enforces and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), safety guidelines, and quality assurance and food safety programs
  • Carries out routine audits throughout the facility, document the findings and corrective actions, and issue maintenance/safety tags where needed.
  • Informs the Quality Assurance team of significant issues or developments identified during regular work.
  • Participates in Quality Assurance training and validation as defined by management
  • Uses proper documentation and generates accurate records according to process control and QA programs.  Review records after end of shift/day.
  • Represents the department in continuous improvement teams and other cross-functional teams.
  • Monitors and report manufacturing and materials deviations from product and materials standards.
  • Evaluates line operations to assure compliance with GMPs and report deviations to operations and QA Management.
  • Keeps Quality Assurance Team informed of significant issues or developments identified during daily activities and actions taken to improve the situation.

Maintains, repairs, installs, and designs equipment to support production team.  Performs work safely and to industry standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be capable of diagnosing equipment failures and machinery problems on his/her own, and take corrective action to restore it back to safe operating conditions as soon as possible.
  • Understands the preventive maintenance system and directs its implementation. 
  • Must maintain work logs, work orders, PM sheets, and breakdown reports, and take
  • corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ability to understand technical equipment manuals and diagrams.
  • Demonstrates capabilities in handling complete factory startups as required; this includes equipment setup, boiler checks, cooling tower checks, ventilation system checks, and basic refrigeration system checks
  • Conducts boiler blow downs and water softener checks
  • Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, plumbing, and simple electrical systems in the manufacturing facility and offices.
  • Occasionally works with outside vendors to complete maintenance activities.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork related to planned and unplanned work performed. 
  • Researches, specifies, and requests repair parts when they are needed and as necessary.
  • Understands the preventive maintenance system and its implementation. Reviews work logs, work orders, PM sheets, and breakdown reports, and takes corrective actions as necessary.
  • Works closely with the Process Engineering Manager and other departments in order to eliminate downtime and to improve operational efficiencies.
