Core duties

• Loading and unloading: Move materials by hand or with equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks onto or off of trucks, conveyors, and other transport items.
• Storage: Put away incoming materials in designated locations, such as shelves, bins, and racks, according to established systems.
• Inventory management: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, track materials, and report any shortages or discrepancies.
• Order fulfillment: Pull and pack materials according to production orders or customer requests.
• Verification: Check incoming deliveries against purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy in quantity and quality.
• Equipment operation and maintenance: Safely operate material handling equipment and perform basic checks to ensure it is in good working order.
• Safety compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to protect themselves and others, and to prevent damage to materials.
