Pay Rate: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour (DOE)

Position Summary

We are seeking experienced CNC Swiss Screw Set-Up Machinists to join our manufacturing team in El Cajon, CA. This role is responsible for both the setup and operation of Citizen L12 CNC Swiss machines to produce small, high-precision components. The ideal candidate will have strong setup experience, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues while maintaining quality and production standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate Citizen L12 CNC Swiss machines.
• Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and setup sheets to ensure accurate machining and part conformance.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets for each job.
• Perform first-article inspections and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve setup and machining issues.
• Monitor machine performance and maintain quality standards throughout production runs.
• Verify parts meet dimensional and quality requirements using precision measuring instruments.
• Follow safety procedures, quality requirements, and production schedules.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience setting up and operating CNC Swiss screw machines.
• Experience with Citizen L12 machines preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and machine offsets.
• Experience performing first-article inspections and quality checks.
• Ability to troubleshoot machine, tooling, and production issues.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
