Responsibilities:
- Assemble of medical devices using a microscope and use production/inspection tools and equipment needed for product builds
- Operate tools & equipment, and complete documentation as required
- Perform equipment set-up, operation, and in-process inspection in order to accomplish assigned task(s).
- Labeling and packaging of medical products.
Education:
- High school or equivalent with two or more years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in low or high-volume production
Required Experience:
- Prior microscope and medical device assembly experience required
- Understand and perform in-process inspection to assure workmanship and quality of in-process medical devices.

Position Summary
We are seeking experienced CNC Swiss Screw Set-Up Machinists to join our manufacturing team in El Cajon, CA. This role is responsible for both the setup and operation of Citizen L12 CNC Swiss machines to produce small, high-precision components. The ideal candidate will have strong setup experience, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot machining issues while maintaining quality and production standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Citizen L12 CNC Swiss machines.
- Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and setup sheets to ensure accurate machining and part conformance.
- Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets for each job.
- Perform first-article inspections and make necessary adjustments to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve setup and machining issues.
- Monitor machine performance and maintain quality standards throughout production runs.
- Verify parts meet dimensional and quality requirements using precision measuring instruments.
- Follow safety procedures, quality requirements, and production schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Previous experience setting up and operating CNC Swiss screw machines.
- Experience with Citizen L12 machines preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD models.
- Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, and machine offsets.
- Experience performing first-article inspections and quality checks.
- Ability to troubleshoot machine, tooling, and production issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
