Job Title: Orthotic & Prosthetic Technician
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 11:30am–8:00pm | Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
Location: Hickory Hills, IL 60457

Job Summary:
Hanger is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Orthotic & Prosthetic Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of orthotic and prosthetic devices, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety. You will also assist with inventory tasks, maintain a clean and safe workspace, and follow all OSHA regulations.

Essential Functions:

• Fabricate and repair orthotic and/or prosthetic devices according to company quality standards.

• Perform ordering, receiving, and other inventory-related tasks as assigned.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

• Adhere to all company safety guidelines and OSHA requirements.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge and hand skills for fabricating and repairing prostheses (artificial limbs) and orthoses (orthopedic braces).

• Strong mechanical ability and hand–eye coordination to safely and effectively use laboratory tools.

• Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills.

• Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills for team collaboration.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete routine tasks with accuracy.

• Willingness to learn company policies, procedures, and technical skills as outlined in the Skills Matrix.

Work Environment:
This position is routine in nature and performed under close supervision. It provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a specialized healthcare field while developing technical skills and industry knowledge.
