    General Description:

    Works with the Sr Production Control Planner & Production Control Manager to ensure batches are scheduled and manufacture within the proper time frame for filling to meet customer requirements. Is in constant communication with Compounding, Purchasing, Operation Planners, QA Raw Lab, Micro Lab & Raw Material Receiving to ensure a 3 to 5-day fixed schedule and a tentative long-term schedule is maintain.

    Specific Responsibilities & Duties:

    • Interfaces with Purchasing, Operation Planners, Compounding, QA Raw lab, Micro lab and Raw Material Receiving to monitor and/or expedite materials to meet planned schedule and customer sale order due dates.
    • Creates the raw material HOT list daily in Excel & send out email so everyone is aware of what raw material will be coming in and will require immediate attention by Purchasing, QA Raw, Micro Lab, Raw Material Inspector, & Raw Material Receiving.
    • Creates the daily compounding schedule daily in Excel using Taylor & QAD by updating all bulk work orders within a two (2) week out window with current delivery dates.
    • Checks all bulk work orders raw materials inventory shortages by using Work Order Shortage Report (.59) and coordinate with Production Control Manager and Sr Production Planner-filling to fulfill upcoming orders. Add comments to Filling and Compounding Schedule Report (96.7) using WO Production Comments (96.42)
    • Oversees the daily morning 11:15am compounding meeting –with Compounding, Purchasing, QA Raw, & Operation Planner
    • Creates firmed bulk/filling work orders in QAD (16.1) on a weekly basis using Planned Order Report, 23.12 or report provided by Production Control Manager for a 4-week period with a rolling week each week.
    • Creates Filling rework work orders for production when needed using (96.36)
    • Creates and manages rework/deviation work orders for bulks working with Compounding, Formula Control, R&D to determine necessary rework procedures and deviation instructions
    • Manages Weekly Expedite Shortage Report with Purchasing & Operation Planners
    • Switches all bulk work orders to allocated status once all materials are available to support production requirements.
    • Follows up throughout the day on all pending issues (i.e., raw delivery dates, items/formulas in D, shortages, etc.) and update using QAD (96.42).
    • Sends out daily email “Taylor has been updated” at the end of day to Compounding Control, QA Raw & Purchasing updating them on what changes have been made on our three (3) day window.
    • Sends out daily email (when needed) to Formula Control & Product Development for formulas in D or C status to make sure formula is switch to N or A status.
    • Enters Test/Sample Bulk & Fill work orders and maintain New Product Development Tracking Sheet in Excel. Work with Product Development, Engineering, Production and Operation Planners (when needed) to compile needs and create work orders to fulfill those needs.
    • Manages daily expedite (1004), de-expedite (1003) and cancellation (1005) reports using Action Message Report (23.7). Move orders based on message.
    • Modifies and/or changes bulk schedule in Taylor/DS-APS as required due to compounding changes, delays, cancellations, or other factors.
    • Generates Filling and Compounding Schedule Report (96.7) for daily meetings. Save Report on V drive for others to use.
    • Reviews the Expy   Report and update all bulk work orders that have raw material expiring and try to expedite batches whenever possible to avoid raw material expiring.
    • Plans and maintains compounding schedule to support filling schedule toward attaining 99% on time shipments to customers.
    • Reads and replies daily to all emails.
