Sanitation Technician
     Location: Imperial, PA
     Rate of Pay: $17/hour
     Duration: 6–8 weeks
     Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm

About the Role

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Sanitation Technicians to join our team for a short-term assignment. This role is critical in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant production environment. Prior experience in sanitation, manufacturing, GMP facilities, or food service/cleaning is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, surfaces, and rooms according to established schedules and procedures.

• Disassemble and reassemble machinery as needed for thorough cleaning.

• Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals and sanitizing agents per SDS guidelines.

• Perform both deep cleans and routine cleaning in production, packaging, and warehouse areas.

• Follow GMP, SOP, FDA/USDA, and company sanitation procedures.

• Complete sanitation logs, checklists, and other documentation accurately.

• Ensure areas meet hygiene standards for internal and external inspections.

• Assist with changeovers and cleaning between product batches to prevent cross-contamination.

• Coordinate cleaning with production teams to reduce downtime.

• Wear appropriate PPE during all sanitation operations.

• Maintain proper storage and labeling of cleaning supplies and chemicals.

• Safely collect and dispose of waste and recyclables per company policy.

• Report safety hazards, spills, or non-compliance issues immediately.

• Help maintain a safe, orderly, and clutter-free environment throughout the facility.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous sanitation, manufacturing, GMP, or food service/cleaning experience strongly preferred.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and PPE.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shift.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:45 am to 3:45pm 

Position starts at $20hr

Summary: This person will need to be very technical in order to set up our lines properly (sensors in the right spot, labels threaded correctly, trydiene pieces accounted for/put together appropriately, etc.) and help with changeovers. We are looking for someone with a proven track record of being a leader that works well with others and can pick up new machinery as some production equipment is custom made. You will also need to enjoy training others, you will be required to consistently train lead hands and veteran line employees on the machines/troubleshooting. 

Essential duties: •Must understand how to maintain machines.

•Excellent training skills displayed through training new machine operators.

•Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories.

•Posses effective written and verbal communication skills.

•Must be comfortable monitoring equipment performance and ensure that they are ready to be used.

•Basic hand tool knowledge.

•Ability to carry out safety checks on the machinery.

•Inspect workflows to ensure that technical and quality standards are met.

•CNC machine programming preferred but not required.

•Food Production Equipment Experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements:

•Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

•Ability to bend, lift, twist, or crouch.

•You must be able to lift approx. 50lbs.

•Steel-toed shoes are required.

• Ensure compliance of our OSHA, USDA, FDA, SQF, an HAACP policies.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including respect and compliance for GMP’s and SOP’s.
• Maintain a high standard of quality throughout the production process and address any quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions.

• Participate in developing production schedules at weekly scheduling meeting. Schedules and coordinates the daily activities of the operators to meet production processing and adherence to plan requirements.
• Participates in process troubleshooting and HAACP teams for continuous improvement of existing and new process equipment.
• Reports all equipment and instrumentation malfunctions immediately for repair and assists in trouble shooting and diagnosing problems to ensure timely repair. Initiates maintenance work orders.
• Continually ensures and oversees the cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the equipment, area sanitation, and housekeeping procedures to ensure compliance with established internal programs and regulatory codes.
• Manage waste and ensure efficient use of materials
• Maintain communication between employees and senior management to ensure procedures and policies are well-understood.
• Maintains production tracking records, reports, and spreadsheets to provide information and data for monthly reporting of production efficiency and monthly KPI’s.
• Responsible for the scheduling of all production personnel, approving vacation requests, and arranges for coverage. Posts the weekly schedule for employees, updates schedules and time off requests daily. Updates HR manager with any time discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain mutual comfort level while relating to a diverse workforce.

Qualifications:
