We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician – Mechanic to join a manufacturing facility in Fridley, MN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
Responsibilities

Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery and equipment.

Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime.

Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend solutions.

Assist with installation and setup of new machinery as required.

Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and parts used.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications
-
Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, Mechanic, or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine repair.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

Boiler license strongly preferred (higher wage for licensed candidates).

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Position Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that outside services, raw materials, machined components, and documentation conform to established specifications and regulatory requirements. This role requires the use of precision measuring tools, interpretation of blueprints, and operation of inspection equipment to maintain product quality, compliance, and traceability.
Key Responsibilities

Review blueprints, sketches, drawings, customer specifications, and models to perform inspections.

Set up and operate inspection equipment, including CMM, Vision Systems, and Smartscope.

Determine programming and setup requirements, including holding fixtures.
-
Accurately complete job documentation, including travelers, inspection reports, and nonconformance logs.
-
Record time and data in computer systems for traceability.

Follow cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) in support of the Quality Management System.

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Adhere to company attendance, safety, and confidentiality policies.
Skills & Competencies

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

Proficient with precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.

Experience operating CMMs and automated inspection equipment.

Strong attention to detail with accurate and compliant record-keeping.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing inspection role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificate or coursework in Inspection or use of inspection equipment preferred.

Strong knowledge of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards, as well as FDA regulatory requirements.

Hands-on experience measuring dimensions on machined parts.
