Do you enjoy hands-on work and take pride in creating a quality finished product? We're looking for a Knife Finishing Technician to join our Hafting Department, where you'll help transform knives into finished products through sanding, buffing, polishing, and detailed quality inspection.
What You'll Do
As a Knife Finishing Technician, you'll help shape, smooth, and finish knives to meet quality standards before they move to the next step in production.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate sanding, buffing, and polishing equipment
- Smooth rough edges and remove scratches or imperfections
- Shape knife handles and bolsters for a consistent finished appearance
- Inspect products before, during, and after processing to ensure quality standards are met
- Change sanding belts, replace buffing wheels, and apply polishing compounds as needed
- Perform basic equipment upkeep and maintenance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Meet daily production goals while maintaining quality
- Follow work instructions and support quality and engineering initiatives when needed
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused
- Dependable with strong attendance
- Comfortable working with their hands
- Mechanically inclined and eager to learn
- Adaptable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Associates must be flexible to work all 7 days of the week but shifts will vary week to week. Example - Week 1 could be scheduled Mon-Thurs, Week 2 could be scheduled Fri-Mon. Project will last several months.
