- Proven history and background in both the international and domestic freight logistics industry (1-3 years minimum experience.)
- High school degree required, Associates degree preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and decision- making skills. Strong attention to detail is critical in this position.
- Knowledge of required shipping documents for both international and domestic shipments.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of teamwork.
- Must be an independent self-starter, self-directed, and able to provide quick response recommendations to solve customers’ problems.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, written and oral communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of UPS, Fed-Ex, and USPS shipping procedures and requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ERP systems, preferably QAD.
- Capable of working in demanding situations and meeting deadlines.
- Willing and able to work flexible hours to accommodate business demands, especially during month end.
Job Requirements:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight, including all blind shipments.
- Coordinate and prepare all required documentation to support all domestic and international shipments.
- Negotiate with carriers, brokers, and forwarders to ensure the best service level possible and the lowest cost possible to drive overall freight cost savings.
- Provide guidance to sales, engineering, and finance on shipping methods and terms.
- Work closely with vendors to ensure that most cost effective and efficient methods of transportation are used.
- Provide guidance on selection of the best Incoterms to ensure fastest revenue recognition with the least amount of risk to Micronics.
- Resolution of all freight related issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide clear information on shipping logistics.
- Monitor and improve the processes to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
- Ensure proper tariff code classifications.
- Continually seeking opportunity for improvement within the supply chain function.

MIG Welder Responsibilities: * Selecting, measuring, cutting, and joining appropriate metals to specifications. * Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage. * Training welding apprentices and mentoring recruits. * Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools. * Operating cranes and other machinery to transport materials to welding worksites. * Determining correct gas ratios. * Testing the strength of each join during and after project completion. * Diagnosing issues and troubleshooting as required. * Liaising with the line manager or supervisor, reporting any issues, and making suggestions for improvement. MIG Welder Requirements: * High school diploma or similar. * A completed apprenticeship or vocational training. * A relevant certificate from a welding association may be required. * Excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity. * Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure. * Sound understanding of welding safety. * The ability to teach would be advantageous. * A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
