Senior Wiring Harness Builder – Wixom, MI

Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Pay: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Wiring Harness Builder to join our team in Wixom. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent hand dexterity, and a passion for precision assembly work.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and assembly instructions.

• Gather materials and tooling in an organized and efficient manner.

• Route, wire, and assemble electronic components using wire layout boards.

• Perform various hand-assembly operations following detailed instructions.

• Operate semi-automatic equipment including crimp presses, wire twisters, and wire strippers.

• Conduct functional and continuity testing of wire harnesses and cable assemblies using test fixtures.

• Use soldering equipment to solder wires to switches and connectors.

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections on in-process and completed assemblies.

Job Requirements

• 3–5 years of assembly or production experience with strong mechanical aptitude.

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on wiring harness building experience.

• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable.

• Excellent hand dexterity and proficiency in basic math.

• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.

• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Physical & Mental Requirements

• Primarily seated work with occasional standing, kneeling, or squatting.

• Good eyesight with the ability to distinguish colors.

• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift.
