Quality Control Technicians Needed in Katy, TX!

 

State of the Art Carbon Neutral manufacturer in the Katy area is hiring electrical QC Technicians! 

 Role Accountabilities: 

  • Confirm all documentation, such as assembly and QC check sheets are complete and accurate. (Signed, dated, current revision)
  • Must stay focused on task while performing inspections.
  • Confirm the quality and workmanship of the product and processes in assigned areas, such as In-process and finished good products are to engineer specifications on drawings.
  • Report detailed and accurate discrepancies on non-conforming products. (NCP)
  • Good verbal and written communication with other departments.
  • Exemplify Company Core Values:  Integrity, Client Focus, Team Orientation, and Personal Commitment.
  • Follow all safety precautions as outlined in the company's safety standards.
  • Display a professional, respectful attitude as a Quality Team Member
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Work Schedules Available: 

Day Shift: 6:00 am - 4:00 pm, with possible/mandatory OT

Night Shift: 3:30 pm – 12:00 am, with possible/mandatory OT

 

Pay: $22-24.00/hr. DOE. Paid weekly!

Job Requirements:

Client Expects:

  • Q1 - 3 years’ experience in Quality Control manufacturing.
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics.
  • Must be able to use Digital Multi-meters, Tape measure (preferably metric) basic hand tools.
  • Previous experience with PCB Boards
  • Double checking Hardware
  • Must be detailed oriented, able to comprehend mechanical and wiring drawings, detect poor workmanship.
  • Standing for extended periods and bending may be required.

Electrical Test Technician/Engineers

Katy, TX

 

General Role Description

Visually inspects all units to be tested (pre-power inspection), performs production line acceptance testing using a combination of manual and automated test equipment. With strong troubleshooting techniques, the technician should be able to identify problems during tests and provide solutions.

Work Schedules Available: 

Day Shift: 6:00 am - 4:00 pm, with possible/mandatory OT

Night Shift: 3:30 pm – 12:00 am, with possible/mandatory OT

 

Pay: 

$30-32 DOE and Shift - Paid weekly!

Role Accountabilities 

  • Perform visual inspections on all product lines. 
  • Perform production line acceptance testing including insulation tests and function tests. 
  • Ability to work from instructions, drawings, and procedures. 
  • Troubleshoot and provide results in a timely fashion (strong troubleshooting skills). 
  • Record test results and complete test reports/paperwork per instructions/procedures.
  • Report issues found on failed units.
  • Perform some mechanical assembly.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to handle large gage cables.
  • Good communication skills and ability to function in a team environment with limited supervision.
  • Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
  • Outstanding work ethics and commitment to organizational success.
  • Able to follow and comply with Company Safety Standards.

Job Requirements:

  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in the electric industry.
  • Two-year technical degree in Applied Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Equivalent college hours in engineering or comparable industry experience.
  • Must have experience testing energized high voltage equipment 480v+
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics.
  • Experience in power electronics.
  • Experience in operating standard test equipment including DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Power Analyzers, Isolation Testers, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001

Duties and Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

  • Layout daily work load for other QC Inspectors.
  • Resolve quality problems and write reports of corrective and preventive measures.
  • Perform inspection on workmanship criteria.
  • Perform mechanical and visual inspection to Engineering and TQC specification on multiple product lines (full range of ratings).
  • Train employees on quality related functions and train inspectors on how to perform specific job duties.
  • Review and approve rejected material.
  • Write work instructions for QC inspectors.
  • Perform internal audits on work instructions and write report on findings.
