2nd Shift Electro-Mechanical Assembler Needed in Katy, TX!

 

Job Duties: Mechanically and electrically assemble units, wire panels in various product lines per drawing provided.

  • Wiring – Read electrical or mechanical diagrams and wire accordingly. Requires prolonged periods of standing, bending on a concrete floor.
  • Mechanical Assembly - Requires lifting, climbing, pulling ability to install equipment into cabinets and enclosures.
  • Cabling - Requires physical ability to bend, and route cable per drawings provided.
  • Perform the most difficult functions to accomplish the above tasks.
  • Lead projects being constructed.
  • Access computer (AS400) for occasional stock checking.
  • This can include mechanical assembly only or wiring.
  • Must be accountable & able to work with little supervision.
  • Requires taking initiative, responsibility & having a disciplined work ethic.
  • Maintain clean working area.

  • Previous relevant and/or related job experience demonstrating high attention to detail
  • Ability to read instructions and drawings
  • HS Graduate or Equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds

State of the art manufacturer in the Katy area has an immediate need for a Quality Control Inspector to support their production team. In this role you will be responsible for the QC of wiring, housings, testing of components and writing NCRs.

Job Requirements:

Client is looking for - 

  • 1 - 3 years’ experience in Quality Control manufacturing.
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics.
  • Write NCRs
  • Must be able to use Digital Multi-meters, Tape measure (preferably metric) basic hand tools.
  • Previous experience with PCB Boards
  • Double checking Hardware
  • Must be detailed oriented, able to comprehend mechanical and wiring drawings, detect poor workmanship.

Electrical Test Technician/Engineers

Katy, TX

 

General Role Description

Visually inspects all units to be tested (pre-power inspection), performs production line acceptance testing using a combination of manual and automated test equipment. With strong troubleshooting techniques, the technician should be able to identify problems during tests and provide solutions.

Work Schedules Available: 

Day Shift: 6:00 am - 4:00 pm, with possible/mandatory OT

Second Shift - 3:30 - Midnight, with possible/mandatory OT

 

Pay: 

$30/hr to Start and 1st  Shift - Paid weekly!

Role Accountabilities 

  • Perform visual inspections on all product lines. 
  • Perform production line acceptance testing including insulation tests and function tests. 
  • Ability to work from instructions, drawings, and procedures. 
  • Troubleshoot and provide results in a timely fashion (strong troubleshooting skills). 
  • Record test results and complete test reports/paperwork per instructions/procedures.
  • Report issues found on failed units.
  • Perform some mechanical assembly.
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis, and occasionally up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to handle large gage cables.
  • Good communication skills and ability to function in a team environment with limited supervision.
  • Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.
  • Outstanding work ethics and commitment to organizational success.
  • Able to follow and comply with Company Safety Standards.

Job Requirements:

Client expects:

  • 2 - 5 years’ experience in the electro/mechanical manufacturing industry.
  • Two-year technical degree in Applied Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Equivalent college hours in engineering or comparable industry experience.
  • Must have experience testing energized high voltage equipment 480v+
  • Must be able to read and interpret schematics.
  • Experience in power electronics.
  • Experience in operating standard test equipment including DMMs, Oscilloscopes, Power Analyzers, Isolation Testers, etc.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001
