Job Description:

• looking for an experienced Slitter Operator to set up, maintain and operate a slitter.
• You will ensure the interminable and efficient running of production
• As a Slitter Operator, your main responsibility is to setup and operate a slitter according to customer specifications and work orders.
• Your detail, safety, and attentiveness is critical to regular equipment inspection and the ability to measure dimensions, align parts and produce material according to production instructions.
• A great Slitter Operator is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards.
• On-the-job training is a good way to discover how to do the job better, so you should have willingness to learn and improve.
• Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers.
• The goal will be to ensure that production procedures will be carried out smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits.
• Inspect arbor and overarm setups to ensure compliance with production instructions

• Reconcile coil identity to production and load coil

• Thread coil through slitter head, cropping all non-complying material

• Review and record gauge, width, hardness, camber, burr and surface condition and ensure compliance with production instructions

• Set gauge monitoring system (if applicable) and ensure gauge calibration

• Thread steel mults into recoiler

• Run coils at maximum speed, ensuring efficiency and accuracy

• Monitor strip conditions to ensure compliance with production

• Document strip conditions, gauge as required and ensure customer specifications

• Band and identify slit mults in compliance with production and complete all proper documentation

• Remove scrap from machine regularly and empty hoppers as needed

• Communicate non-compliance production or quality problems to supervisor and/or shift lead

Job Requirements:

Requirements:

• Ability to read and follow all work order instructions and complete documentation

• Knowledge of current crane and forklift operation preferred

• Ability to perform complete setup and operational tasks of slitting to ensure compliance with customer specifications

• Ability to work under little supervision

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Ability to communicate effectively

Assemblers wanted in Vandalia, OH

6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday (overtime available on Friday and Saturday)

Pay is starting at $17.50 per hour

Responsibilities Include: 

• Perform light assembly and/or basic machining operations according to work assignment description and scheduling.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings to perform basic assembly
• Inspect work to validate quality and accuracy
• Monitor and replenish raw materials as required for the post of operation
• Completed all documentation and electronic data updates as required
• Prepare and package units for shipment as required
• Follow the production and quality procedures by following prints and checking materials for defects
• Reading blueprints to scale for assembling

Job Requirements:

Possess a basic mechanical, math, and problem-solving aptitude

Ability to operate, but not limited to the following equipment: Basic machining posts, Saws, Paint Sprayers, and hoists.

Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, blueprints, BOM’s and associated procedures

Ability to use and interpret measurement tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers

Ability to use basic hand tools (hand drills, screw drivers, hammers etc)
