  • 1st Shift: 7am – 3:30pm
  • Pay: $25 - $30, depending on experience

Job Requirements:

Fabricator Responsibilities:

  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
  • Measure, examine, and test incoming completed parts
  • Set up, adjust, and operate the basic machine tools and many specialized or advances variation tools
  • Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information
  • Assist with assembly of industrial machines
  • Validate quality of supplier parts

 

Fabricator Qualifications:

  • Previous recent experience MIG and TIG welding required
  • Previous experience in fabrication is required
  • Ability to read a tape measure
  • Previous experience using hand tools and measuring tools, such as calipers, lathes, etc. required
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and other engineering information required

Employbridge has several opportunities for skilled Mechanical Assemblers in North Charlotte.

Shift: 1st shift Monday - Friday

Pay Rate: $19.00-$20.00/hr.

Position Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assemble product according to established methods, procedures, and standards and/or sub-assembly of component parts from bills of materials and production orders, involving component parts and different configurations of sub-assemblies.? 
  • Perform assembly of special units from engineering prints and blueprints.? 
  • Use air impact wrenches, assorted hand tools, drivers and protective leaders, grease gun and indicators in assembly work. Operate hand arbor presses, pneumatic and hydraulic presses for assembly of certain units.? 
  • Thoroughly inspect each completed unit to assure correct and complete assembly and ensuring that completed work and appearance meet standards; and/or inspect component parts before beginning sub-assembly work, ensuring correct identification and appearance of parts.? 
  • Complete required documentation and report of daily work.?? 
  • Operate overhead hoist, cranes or forklifts when applicable.? 
  • Assemble gear boxes using liquid nitrogen.? 
  • Operate testing equipment and air testing equipment.? 
  • Inspect units to ensure that the unit is painted according to standards.? 
  • Package painted units while ensuring that all units are packed correctly, to include accurately matching labels and units.??

  • 2 years of previous experience?in an assembly position is desired.? 
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly desired.? 
  • Experience using power hand tools is desired.
