Job Requirements:

• Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping orders/reports, and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas within the sit.
• Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks or aircraft.
• Moving goods packed on pallets, crates and totes around the storage facility
• Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
• Checking loads for accuracy and secure transport
• Stacking empty pallets and miscellaneous materials as assigned
• Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the trucks battery and lubricating equipment
• Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines
• Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards
• Utilization of computer for communication and Computer Based Training as assigned.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Loading bulk trucks with liquid product - involves using a bulk loading system and hooking hoses to compartments on tanker trailers and pumping products onto the truck. 
• Filling package orders which include totes, drums and pails. 
• Plant cleaning and maintenance - includes maintaining a clean work area as well as maintaining overall plant cleanliness. 
• Light maintenance such as PVC piping installation and hose replacement. Previous pump and PVC experience preferred.

•Under immediate to general supervision, performs routine tests on asphalt, emulsions, and other construction, materials following established procedures; performs related work as required.  
•Performs AASHTO, ASTM and AZDOT or other State Agency tests on construction materials.
•Receives inventory samples, prepares samples for testing, records test results, maintains lab & testing equipment, and cleans the lab.
•Performs simple math (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication) functions to determine test results.
•Knowledge of techniques and procedures involving sampling, testing and inspection of materials; occupational safety hazards and precautions applicable to the work including proper use of personal protective equipment; use of commonly used laboratory equipment including balances, ovens, glassware, hot plates; material sampling techniques; terms and symbols commonly used in laboratory environments.
•Ability to set up and solve mathematical equations using addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division; perform repetitive tasks with high degree of accuracy, multitask and work independently; work with frequent interruptions and occasional changes in priorities; repeatedly record data accurately.
•Skills in assembling tools and equipment to perform variety of tests; use of laboratory equipment in performing laboratory tests; mechanical, organizational and detail aptitude; proficient in oral and written communication.

Key Accountabilities:

• Lead team of Quality Inspectors to accurately inspect raw materials and products visually, as well as with gauges, scales, or other measurement instruments as required and according to work instructions
• Segregate non-conforming parts or material
• Complete required documentation for work performed
• Perform data entry of work results into appropriate databases
• Perform final inspection to reconcile outgoing shipments, as required
• May be required to identify causes of non-conformance
