Immediately seeking Press Operators and Machinists for local Brake & Friction manufacturer! 

Description: Operates machine/machines to hot compression mold parts of specific size and shape from blended raw materials.  Must be able to operate/run all equipment while ensuring quality, safety and production standards are accomplished.

Shift: 

• 2nd: 3pm - 11pm

Pay: $18.41/hr to $21.07/hr depending on department, experience and shift

Duties: 

• Adheres to all safety regulations and maintains a clean work environment.
• Reads routing card to verify weight, material and press cycle.
• General operation of press in accordance with Work Instructions.
• Records production via Hour by Hour Charts and ICARE Forms.
• Comply with all documentation of quality inspection sheets, ICARE, etc.
• Help ensure the cleanliness and organization of entire job area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Requirements: 

• Blueprint reading experience a plus 
• Prior manufacturing - 6 to 12 months
• Able to operate/run all equipment, while ensuring quality, safety and production standards are accomplished
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
• Strong attention to detail
• Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently or a team 
• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours 
• Bend, stoop, twist 
• Lift up to 40 lbs

What You’ll Do:

• Operate and monitor automated quality testing systems for raw materials and finished product

• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to maintain consistent quality results

• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on lab and control systems

• Verify, calibrate, and maintain instruments to ensure accurate data and reporting

• Analyze system data and communicate test results or issues to supervisors and plant teams

• Assist with process adjustments to keep production within target quality parameters

• Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow all safety and quality procedures

Job Requirements:

What We’re Looking For:

• Technical or associate degree in Automation, Electromechanical, Industrial Maintenance, or related field (preferred)

• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or automation systems

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems

• Ability to lift up to 94 lbs (cement bag) and perform physical work as needed

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required

• This is an on-site position; candidates within 15 minutes of Mitchell, IN preferred

Product Builder Responsibilities

• Assemble small medical devices using small plastic pieces and small wires.
• Raises atypical observations and notifies management/quality as required.
• Identifies and raise opportunities for procedural improvements. Supports continuous improvement initiatives.
• Operate in a clean room environment within required gowning, aseptic behaviors, and proper flow procedures; performs general cleanroom housekeeping, including room and equipment cleaning(s), disposal of trash and recyclables, and adherence to 5S standards.
• Addresses corrections to all executed documentation in a timely manner to support lot release.
• Perform basic math skills
• Other duties as assigned
