    Payroll Clerk duties and responsibilities

    • Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data
    • Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions
    • Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave and non-taxable wages 
    • Calculating payroll liabilities by determining employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and calculating employer’s payments for social security, unemployment and worker’s compensation
    • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries
    • Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures

    A Warehouse Worker, or Warehouse Associate, is responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing and sending inventory according to purchase orders and shipping schedules. Their duties include loading orders onto trucks and shipping containers, organizing incoming stock and putting the appropriate labels on outgoing parcels.

     

    Job Duties: 

    • Collecting merchandise from the distribution center and safely transporting materials to the shipping bay.

    • Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the supervisor.

    • Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled for shipping.

    • Managing all merchandise with appropriate care.

    • Scanning labels to ensure products are shipped to the right destination.

    • Other job duties as assigned

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum 12 months relevant Material Handler experience
    • Attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Able to use basic hand and power tools
    • Basic Math
    • Mechanical aptitude
    • Basic computer skills
    • Knowledge of WMS systems
    • Experience on Forklift or other industrial equipment

    Responsibilities

    • This 2nd shift position is responsible for assembling custom shipping containers (wooden crates) from raw materials and packaging the goods and equipment in preparation for shipping
    • In addition to building custom crates, this position requires parts preparation and light assembly prior to the parts being crated
    • Measures finished product or parts and fabricates the container in the prescribed manner for shipment
    • Using hand tools, power tools, and other woodworking equipment, builds the container around the equipment or fabricates the container and places equipment there
    • Frequently uses hoist in the movement of materials while performing duties
    • Measures and inspects work using provided measuring devices

    Currently looking for safe, committed people to join our Paper Mill in Cottonton, AL. Currently, we are looking to fill temporary openings in our production areas of the mill. Below provides more detail for the positions and requirements.

    Basic functions:The production areas of the mill include our Paper Machine, Chemical Recovery, Pulp Mill and Utilities Departments. The positions are there to assist other workers in the operations of the mill.

    Essential functions within the production areas will include but not limited to: 

       Paper Machine Department

    Cutting, loading, storing, and removing of paper cores  Assist in startup of machines Clean up of areas

     

    Chemical Recovery Department

    Maintain check lists

    Manage rail track/truck inventory

    Confirm placement of train cars and their content

    Pump out lime pits and unload fresh lime

     

    Pulp Mill Department

    Monitor wood chip delivery system

    Dislodge and clear blockage from conveyor delivery system, chute, hopper, or screens

    Visually inspect wood chip delivery systems for potential blockage or malfunction

     

    Utilities Department

    Check all Equipment

    Startup of truck dumpers

    Assist drivers if needed

    Unplug bark hogs and trucker dump hoppers and conveyors

    Mahrt Papermill offers competitive wages. The competitive hourly wage with no Papermill experience will begin at $20.45 – 25.56/hour.  Papermill job experience will be reviewed for appropriate payrate.

    The Maintenance tech is responsible for assisting in the smooth running of the manufacturing operations by providing effective mechanical maintenance support to the facility! 

     

    Job Duties:

    • PM's on all machinery
    • Carry out system checks
    • Maintain shop equipment as needed (power tools, hand tools, machines, press, saws, paint booth equipment, ect.) 
    • General Maintenance around shop and office's 
    • Record parts and materials used 
    • Notify purchasing of materials needed with Purchase Request
    • General Electrical 
    • Attend to machine break downs/diagnose mechanical issues with equipment and tools 
    • Monitor stock levels needed to keep machines going (Lube/Grease/ETC.)
    • Undertake all duties safely and in accordance with Company Safety Policies 
    • Give updates to supervisor as required
