About the role:
The position is responsible for supporting the R&D team while working on several tasks simultaneously in and out of the test kitchen. This position will require a good understanding of basic cooking methods such as baking and frying. Performs a variety of standardized tests on all finished goods. Responsibilities also include maintaining logs and data records associated with the job function (e.g. pH, organoleptic parameters, and physical evaluation of finished goods.) This role is key to the success of providing our customers with the best quality product. The R&D technician will report to the R&D manager.
Responsibilities:
- Perform bench tests by using various types of mixers, fryers, ovens, proofer, and misc. food-service equipment
- Execute required tests by utilizing pH meter, texture analyzer, colormetric analysis, digital calipers, and scales
- Evaluate finished goods organoleptic parameters such as flavor, aroma, color, and texture
- Provides support to the R&D team by scaling ingredients, completing sample requests, and packages samples for shipment
- Maintain lab inventory of raw ingredients and replenishes as needed
- Ensures the cleanliness of the test kitchen and its inventory daily and on a regular basis
- Able to drive and gather ingredients from supermarkets when needed for innovation and development
- Perform ad hoc tasks when requested. The above are basic responsibilities and we may require more technical and administrative support upon completed training.
- Includes: monitoring ingredient inventory for the department, updating BOMs based on production requests, holding preliminary scheduling meetings, etc.
Candidate requirements:
- Able to use fine weight scale (units: grams, ounces, pounds, kilos)
- Practical skills – experience working in a collaborative environment
- Language Skills – good working proficiency “English/Spanish”
- Mathematical skills – from basic to algebra
- Reasoning ability – strategies of reasoning and problem solving
- Computer skills – working knowledge of excel and word
- 1-2 years’ experience working in a test kitchen is a plus
- Must be able to handle multiple assignments
- Must be able to perform in a demanding, fast-paced environment
- Ability to taste test all products produced in our plant that may include certain food allergens

About the Role
As a Shipping Clerk, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily shipping and receiving activities to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant product movement. You’ll coordinate inbound and outbound loads, maintain transportation and DOT documentation, and serve as the main point of contact for drivers and carriers. This role is essential for supporting food safety, quality assurance, and operational efficiency within our warehouse and logistics functions.
What You’ll Do
- Check in all inbound drivers and verify delivery documentation
- Assign outbound sales orders and inbound purchase orders to forklift operators for selection
- Prepare packing lists for all outbound loads, ensuring lot numbers, quantities, and products are accurate
- Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound appointments to maintain shipping efficiency and dock flow
- Maintain and assist with DOT files and ensure compliance with transportation regulations
- Serve as the point of contact for drivers regarding delivery or pickup issues
- Receive all products accurately into the system and reconcile with purchase orders
- Log and track daily trip sheets, truck logs, and IBC tote returns within the system
- Promptly report any food safety or quality concerns to authorized personnel
- Follow all warehouse safety policies; employees are prohibited from entering restricted areas unless authorized
