Blending Technician - Fullerton, CA

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare & Operate Blend Batches
    • Accurately stage, weigh, and verify ingredients using batch/tote
    • Load materials into the blender via chain hoist or similar equipment as per Master Manufacturing Record (MMR).
    • Monitor blending cycles, sample for quality control (e.g., color consistency, viscosity), and adjust parameters as needed.
  • Quality & Compliance
    • Record blend details: batch numbers, ingredient lot codes, quantities, cycle times, and deviations.
    • Perform in-process testing (e.g., color strength, pH, viscosity, allergen segregation).
    • Follow strict allergen control, GMP, SQF, FSMA, safety protocols, and internal procedures.
  • Equipment Maintenance & Sanitation
    • Conduct routine cleaning (CIP/SIP) and sanitation of blender, lines, utensils, and work areas between runs.
    • Perform minor mechanical adjustments and troubleshoot blending equipment; escalate major issues to maintenance.
  • Recordkeeping & Communication
    • Accurately complete all paperwork, including batch sheets, cleaning logs, equipment maintenance forms, and deviation reports.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors, QA, maintenance, and other production staff; participate in shift handoffs.

Tube Filling Line Operator-Fullerton, CA

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor tube filling machinery and supporting equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Follow Production Work Orders and ensure all required components and materials are available for the line.
  • Maintain line performance and labor efficiencies according to established production standards.
  • Issue components and accurately report production data.
  • Follow all food safety, GMP, and occupational safety procedures and policies.
  • Report machine malfunctions, breakdowns, or operational concerns to Manufacturing Supervisor and Maintenance teams.
  • Assist Maintenance personnel in troubleshooting and repair activities as needed.
  • Perform line cleaning, startup, shutdown, changeovers, and line clearance procedures.
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks to packers during production startup, changeovers, and sanitation activities.
  • Conduct in-line quality checks including fill weights, package integrity, seal integrity, lot codes, and expiration date verification. 
  • Complete all required production and quality documentation accurately and timely.
  • Support implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment, and technologies.
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment while promoting accountability and teamwork.
  • Cross-train and operate additional production equipment as needed during seasonal or operational demands.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
