Description
Key Responsibilities
- Operating Press Brake Machines: Set up and operate CNC or manual press brakes to bend, punch, form, or shape metal sheets and plates according to blueprints and job orders.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and engineering plans to determine required bends, angles, and specifications.
- Precision Measurement: Use calipers, protractors, and other measuring tools to inspect finished parts and ensure they meet design tolerances.
- Machine Setup and Adjustment: Select, install, and adjust tooling and dies; calibrate machine settings such as pressure, speed, and bending angles.
- Quality Control: Perform first-part inspections, in-process checks, and final inspections to maintain high-quality standards.
- Maintenance and Cleaning: Conduct routine maintenance, clean machinery, and troubleshoot minor issues to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), and report any hazards or malfunctions.
- Collaboration: Work with team members to optimize production processes and may assist in other stages of manufacturing as needed.
