Job Opening: Fabrication Assistant

We are seeking a reliable Fabrication Assistant to support daily fabrication operations. This role assists with deburring, part preparation, material handling, and general shop duties to ensure parts are ready for welding, painting, assembly, or shipment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and eager to learn fabrication processes in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with deburring, grinding, sanding, and cleaning fabricated metal parts
• Remove sharp edges, slag, and surface imperfections from components
• Prepare parts for downstream operations such as welding, painting, or assembly
• Perform basic material handling, including moving and staging parts
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of fabrication areas
• Follow work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures
• Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision
• Support fabricators and welders with general shop tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

• Ability to use basic hand and power tools (grinders, sanders, deburring tools)
• Willingness to learn fabrication and manufacturing processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Commitment to workplace safety and PPE requirements
