About the Role

EmployBridge is seeking a Bilingual Forklift Operator (English/Spanish required) for storage and distribution facility that handles plastic pellets used in manufacturing. This is not a production environment – the facility receives rail cars and trucks loaded with small plastic pellets, transfers them into hoppers, and fills customer-ready containers for shipment. 

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where associates rotate through all positions, including forklift operation, material handling, labeling, and general warehouse tasks. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Material Handling & Filling
• Build heavy-duty cardboard boxes and matching lids
• Places boxes on pallets and drape liners/bags inside
• Use vacuum-style system to pull pellets from rail cars/trucks into a hopper
• Position pallets under the hopper and fill boxes to precise weight requirements (accuracy very important)
• Open/close hopper levels to control flow of pellets
• Seal, label, and prepare filled containers for storage or shipment

Forklift Operation

• Operate a sit-down propane forklift to move, store, and pallets
• Transport filled containers to designated inventory locations
• Support shipping/receiving activities as needed

Warehouse Operations

• Use RF scanners for inventory tracking
• Apply labels and maintain accurate documentation
• Assist with shipping and receiving paperwork
• Perform general warehouse duties - this is not a position where you stay on the forklift all day

Requirements

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
• 1+ year of forklift experience (sit down propane required)
• Ability to lift, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Comfortable rotating between forklift operation and manual labor
• Strong attention to detail - must meet strict weight accuracy standards
• Experience with RF scanners a plus
• Reliable transportation to North Charlotte
